Richard Gere meets Narendra Modi
Renowned Hollywood actor and activist Richard Gere met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday in New Delhi.
The American movie star gave PM a Tibetan Khata. Richard Gere started his career as an actor in the late 1970’s and then became an active supporter of ‘free Tibet’ movement that is led by Dalai Lama. Then he started practicing Tibetian Buddhism and is a persistent advocate for human rights in Tibet, which was dominated by China.
