A relief for Salman Khan in illegal arms case by Jodhpur on deferring the judgement in a case of possession and use of illegal arms. The next hearing in the case is scheduled on March 3.

A public prosecutor NK Sankhla of the court in Jodhpur, 330 km from Rajasthan capital Jaipur said, “The case relates to both possession and use of illegal arms and the chief judicial magistrate’s court has kept Feb 25 for judgment.”

A few other Bollywood stars too were accused of poaching blackbucks on the midnight of October 1-2, 1998 during the shoot of Hindi movie “Hum Saath Saath Hain.” It happened to the killing of two blackbucks, which is a protected animal under the Wildlife Protection Act, in the outskirts of Kankani village near to Jodhpur. Salman was accused of carrying and using illegal arms too. He was alleged to have been carrying those arms with an expired license. So, a police complaint was filed against Salman Khan on charges of being involved in hunting of blackbucks.

Meanwhile, The Members of the Blackbuck Management Committee, has written an open letter to Bollywood actor Slaman Khan inviting him to attend the census of blackbuck in Bhetnoi. Bishnois, belonging to Rajasthan will be protecting the blackbucks along with local forest officials. Amulya Upadhyaya, the convenor of the committee, mentioned in the letter that they will be conducting a census of blackbucks on March 1st and the members of the committee want the star to witness the census. In the end of the letter, Upadyaya urged Khan scornfully to not to come with a gun, but with a camera.
