Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi announced Rs. 745 crore for the relief of rebuilding damage homes and hospitals in the flood-ravaged Jammu and Kashmir. Prime Minster Modi conducted a meeting in the Raj Bhavan with the government officials today and discussed about the funds that the Central government is going to help.
When speaking to the media persons at Raj Bhavan in Sri Nagar, Modi said that the Union Government is ready to do anything in their possible limits to rebuild the lives and bring back the livelihood for the people who suffered in the floods in the last month in the state. This is according to the IANS reporter.
Modi further hadded that the total loss of 44,000 crore rupees caused by the floods is submitted to the Center by the state government and it is under consideration. An immediate relief of Rs. 570 crore for the rebuilding of damaged homes and Rs. 175 crore are allotted for the severely damaged hospitals in the state.
Elections in Jammu and Kashmir are going to be held at the end of this year.
