Gabbar is Back is an upcoming Hindi action drama film directed by Krish and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.Featuring Akshay Kumar in the title role, the film is a remake of the Tamil film Ramana directed by A. R. Murugadoss. Shruti Haasan and Jaideep Ahlawat play supporting roles, and Kareena Kapoor Khan appears in a cameo. The film is scheduled for release on 1 May 2015.

It is said to repeat the success story or Rowdy Rathore for Akshay Kumar. This too has derived its story from a South Indian buster Ramanna. The movie is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s production and also stars Kamal & Sarika Hasan’s star daughter Shruti Hassan while Kareena Kapor & Chitrangada Singh are playing cameos. Gabbar is Back, is the story of Gabbar (Akshay Kumar), who starts the Anti-Corruption Force (ACF) that seeks to track down and eliminate corrupt people from society. However, he soon finds that the police and the government are out to get the vigilante behind those killings, with the help of Balbir Singh (Sonu Sood), as he heads the task of hunting down the ACF.
