Whenever a film in India is based on the religious concept and hit the screens, this will be a problem for any of the communities most precisely in the spiritual organisations and others that make them protest against the film. This is happening since many years for many movies, and recently it’s heat increased for movies released in the recent days like PK in Hindi and Gopala Gopala.
There is a nation wide protest against Aamir Khan’s PK and several protests went on questioning some scenes that hurt sentiments of many. Same happened with Pawan Kalyan’s Gopala Gopala that released on 9th of January. It is the official remake of Oh My God. The original film also had to face some heat from some communities. The story in the movie questions the presence of God on this planet, and also questions the existance of God and blind beliefs followed by people on this planet.
Coming to Gopala Gopala, an unidentified lawyer filed a case against the film for hurting the sentiments of lawyers. Although there won’t be an impact of these cases on the movie, but the protesting bodies have to realize that these movies can’t be stopped screening since they have got CBFC censorship.
