As per the film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the Farah Khan’s film Happy New Year collected 108 crores, which is a record in the Indian cinema. Previously it was Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 that collected 100 crores within 3 days of its release.
According to the trade report, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s comedy flick Happy New Year collected 104 crores in Hindi alone, and 2.92 crore in Telugu and 1.84 crores in Tamil, thus adding 108 crores totally.
With this new record, Shah Rukh Khan became the first superstar in India, whose film collected 100 crores in the first 3 days. This is the third film released in the combination of Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and Farah Khan. The other actors in Happy New Year are Boman Irani, Vivan Shah, Abhishek Bachchan and Sonu Sood.
Apart from the divided talk about the movie, the collections are so stable and it is sure that the film is going to do more business in the coming days as there are no other movies as competition.
